01 · The market

Nearly 1 in 3 Americans seek out a reader every year.

Astrology, tarot, and psychic guidance are mainstream, and clients increasingly find their reader online.

~30%
of US adults consult astrology, tarot, or a fortune teller at least yearly. Pew Research, May 2025.

02 · The problem

Real 1:1 connection is lacking between advisors & clients.

As an advisor

There's too much noise in traditional social media direct messages.

As a client

Messages are unlikely to make an impression.

Psychic networks and creator platforms

keep a large share of every reading, or focus on content over direct connection.

Most recently in defense tech, used AI to optimize supply-chain problems at a global scale.

Founding AI engineer at SingleSprout, a venture recruitment firm generating $XXMM+ in annual revenue. Developed a Bayesian statistical model to optimize the entire end-to-end sales funnel by scoring and pairing candidates, which increased the company's revenue by 125%. Built a CRM that scaled to millions of records and powered hundreds of thousands of sales interactions monthly, which became the data backbone of that model.

05 · Advisor research

We're building what readers want.

Readers already have the demand. They lack a fair, simple way to get paid for it.

Followers expect free readings

"A stranger... sends me an email or comments on one of my social media platforms with this: 'Can you do me a huge favor and just pull a tarot card for me?'"

- Theresa Reed, tarot reader of 30+ years (2016)

"There is never an attempt to get to know me beforehand. There is never offer of payment either."

- Theresa Reed, The Tarot Lady

"These 'free' clients quickly disappeared and I was left feeling like I had invested a whole lot into not much."

- Brigit Esselmont, founder, Biddy Tarot (2018)
Social platforms don't pay readers

"They don't like us... They have no interest in monetizing us. They don't want us on the platform."

- Hannah Graves, tarot reader, on Instagram (Vice, 2022)

"Most of us can't afford to have an assistant so we're booking sessions, running the sessions, dealing with payment, advertising ourselves..."

- Eliza Swann, tarot reader (Vice, 2022)

"Most people who watch collective tarot readings on social media don't book actual sessions with real readers... [The algorithm] makes money from engagement, not from actual support."

- Gord Hall, tarot reader (tarotwithgord.com, 2026)
Psychic networks take most of it

"Purple Ocean and Purple Garden take 64% of the charge so the readers earn very little."

- Former Purple Ocean reader (review, 2024)

"On the app, you have three minutes to explain this person's life to them, and it can be very impersonal."

- Alexa Nicole Ayers, Purple Ocean reader (Slate, 2017)

"The high commissions that Keen takes from readers has caused many top readers to leave... many good readers are needing to charge a lot due to the high commissions."

- Elissa, Keen reader since 2004 (Trustpilot, 2025)

08 · Risk controls - before money moves

Before money moves, supply and traffic are cleared.

Advisors cannot earn until they are approved; bad traffic is filtered at the edge before it reaches the application or checkout lane.

Bot defense
Turnstile challenges on login, signup, and checkout so automated card-testing never reaches the payment form.
WAF at the edge
Managed rulesets filter injection, credential-stuffing, and known-exploit traffic before the app.
Geo controls
Restricted or sanctioned territories are blocked by IP at the edge before a page loads.
DDoS protection
Availability attacks do not become outages, where fraud and support chaos usually hide.
Encryption
TLS in transit and encryption at rest. Card data routes browser to processor, not through Jask servers.

Passwordless sign-in

Clients and advisors authenticate only through Google or X (Twitter) OAuth to reduce risk.

Device & IP capture

Device IDs and IP addresses logged on every event for a complete audit trail.

Geo-blocking

Geographies with known fraud activity are blocked at the network's edge.

Session moderation
